well put on the 34mm tonight with the ufo 200 main and 35 pilot "WOW" major league yabos this this is awsome no dead spots at all i only have 93$ into it the K&N is on its way ill see how much different it is when installed thanks ncscrambler and all the rest for all the info, next will be to take off the flywheel and chuck it in my laythe thanks again

Good to know that it worked out for you. This was a simple cheap mod that makes a big difference. And just about everyone that has a moded 400 still has the stock carb. The flywheel shaved will build rpm,s alot quicker and make the bike quicker. It is unbelieveable how quick the 250's can be. It may not be a 400 but its nice knowing that you sure can keep up with one. Maybe you cant at this point yet but you are very close.

If you can go on ebay, you would get way better performance from a flatside carb. Preferebly a keihin 34mm or bigger. The response is awsome with these carbs. You can get them cheap. I just bought a keihin 34m pj carb and a keihin 36mm pwk carb both for $72.00. I started out with the scrammy 34mm carb and it worked ok but there was a huge lag on the bottom. I am currently running a 38mm flatside that works well but it is hard to keep tuned. The keihin carbs are supposed to be better and alot easier to tune.
