I like my Sportsman 500 if i didnt it would be gone. I had to replace the Radiator just after I got it (bought it used). Was preparing the Chicken House for possible Hurricane that was coming. While using lights from quad to assist hooking up generator to the tractor the fan wallowed out and damaged the radiator. I heard the fan scraping but in my haste didnt turn quad off, cost me a radiator. Local Polaris mechinac said it was a new one on him. But I take the blame for not stopping it when I knew somthing was wrong. But my tierods are fine my belt does not slip and I can grease it in 20 to 30 minutes. It runs good is fun to ride and will go any where I want to go. I know it a long post please excuse me for that but tell me about yours. Sportsman or not problems or not.
Thanks

Hello Superduty I also have the sportsman 500 and love it have almost 300 miles on it, it runs like a top no slipping belt no wore out brakes, everything is working perfect. And will out climb any of the 3 wheel drive systems on the trails here in WV...I find a lot of people complain about there bikes but continue to keep them instead of sell them kinda makes you wonder do they even own one...

I agree if there unhappy with it than they should get rid of it or stop complaining. Because after a certain point its just stupid to keep somthing that makes you that un happy.
Hope to visit WV after the Hatfeild/Mcoy trail opens, have alot of friends that used to live around Matewan,Logan areas that tell me how nice it is up there.

No wonder you haven't had any problems Atving. With only 300 miles on the sp500,you really haven't even rode the bike yet.Put some miles on and watch it fall apart.

I like to drag a magnet behind mine, it grabs all the nuts and bolts that fall out. Although ATVING is doing better than myself, my trouble started at about 180 miles, but around 750 they escalated. Lets see, tie rods, brakes, hub engagement problems and finally electrical malfunctions . . .

Atving, first you had an xplorer, now you suddenly have a sp500. It does kind of make you wonder if you really own one.

Defending atving, I never heard him saying anything about him owning an explorer. But Ive read numerous times about his Sportsman and his AC 500. He always posts and replies intelligently concerning these quads. Read one of his posts, I don't think you can get into that much detail without owning one. Oh ya, go back to the Honda forum please.

I'd like Sledder to show me ONE post where ATVing says he owned an Xplorer,im sure he cant.He owns an AC and a Sportsman. If your going to bash a fellow ATVer for not owning a quad, get your facts straight first.====BILL
