fthwflh, I guess your magnum is a 4 stroke? For some reason they only make
an aftermarket pipe for the 425 magnum and not the 400 sp. I'm curious as
to how much more power that pipe helped your magnum. also the 400sp's
weight is a issue. i'm not sure but i believe its a lot heavier than your magnum.
I undertsand what mudmania is talking about with the 400sp it just lacks the
power in high. Any help from anyone would be nice.

My 425 is a 4 stroke(the same motor as your 400) and the pipe really woke it up.You might give Supertrapp a email and ask if they make a pipe for yours. They do get back to you i had to ask a couple questions of them.

Just for your information, a piston and jug from a 500 will bolt right on there. A wiesco 11:1 would make that puppy jump from a standstill. 465 cc 8)

Hey dusty if he wants to get into the motor a 500HO cam and 38mm carb will do a number too.Pluss its easier and cheaper than a jug swap.

just get a clutch kit and exhaust..........that would solve your hole problem........when you push the gas the response time is horrible......the clutch makes it go when you push it.......and exhaust should give you a few more hp.... check out www.hotseatperformance.com they have nice stuff
