I am looking into getting a 2000 Trail Boss 325 and want to know how you guys like it. I want to put a blade on the front and maybe winch or just get the winch in cabellas that mounts on the back. I wont use it to much on trail more for riding around from farm to farm and down old railroad tracks

See my post from yesterday about the front strut breaking. Might not want to put a blade on it. Probably will need 4X4 if you do, then you are better off with the Sportsman.

Other than the Strut breaking, I've been very pleased with the machine and so has my girlfriend, (its her bike)

I recently bought my wife a 2000 trail boss. I like the machine so far, but have not done any serious trail riding on it yet. It is a quick, easy turning machine with good power, BUT it is a little too small for serious work. I would doubt that it will plow that much do to it having no low gear or 4 wheel drive. I have a 98 Magnum 4x4 that I use for plowing snow. In 4 wheel drive low, it is a beast for plowing. I doubt that the two wheel drive Trail Boss could push any serious snow or dirt. I would opt for a bigger machine like the Magnum 325 in 4 wheel drive for more serious work. As for a winch for your new machine, contact shadetree magazine ( don't now the number). The will set you up with a winch and a plow and are cheaper than your local dealer. I bought mine from them and had no trouble installing it.

Sorry, I may have led you astray on the Shadetree parts ( the number is 1-888-shadetree). I am looking at there recent catologe and I do not see a winch mount or a plow mount for the trail boss. You may have to stick to your dealer.

You hit the nail right on the head. My Dad has the 2000 325 and he does all that with it and it is too small. His is less that a year old and because of the work he does with it he is need of a new belt and other general up keep. I would get something bigger.

If you are looking for an affordable 4x4 the xlporer 250 might work, I'm not sure about the power, but it does have low range and 4x4. Might want to check into it.
