Brandons, what year is the machine, how many hours/miles est. If you have the stock throttle, there's an ETC inside that kills the motor if throttle cable tension is lost. First thing though, make sure you didn't bump the killswitch on the LH handlebar. Do you have more than 1/16" of freeplay in the throttle. If so, you can tighten that up with the adjuster nut. It's under a rubber protective boot, on the throttle lever end where it enters the throttle control housing. Also have you tried pull starting the machine. Sounds like your starter bendix needs lubrication, or replacement. Do you regularily drain any moisture out from the recoil housing. There's a drainplug for that, there's also one on the starter. Get yourself a maintenance manual, it'll help you find all these components, as well as keep your machine running in great condition. Saves you time and money too.
