I had a problem with mine when I first bought it. I started it for the first time and the crank seal blew, oil got into the crank side cover where it shouldnt be, then it leaked out around an electrical plug. Took it back, dealer figured out it was the crank seal and replaced it, it immediately blew again. They called Polaris. Polaris said it had happened 3 times, caused by casting "flash" blocking oil passages leading to increased oil pressure, poor quality control from the engine manufacturer. Warranty job, dealer cleared all the casting flash, I don't think they even had to pull the motor. Never had another problem since, but I also never heard of a recall or anything like that.
