The Wiseco is far stronger, and better suited to modded engines. The stock Polaris pistons, when they wear enough to get 'loose' in the bore, are prone to breaking off a piece of the skirt. Wisecos are not.
However, for a stock HP engine, the Wiseco won't last any longer before wear-out, and their design requires them to be 'looser' in the bore when cold, which makes the engine seem to rattle until it gets warmed up.

For what it is worth, I have a Wiseco in my Xplorer engine, and it is stock except for the Uni filter.

If you are planning heavy mods, check out the coated pistons. They are coated by Swaintech, or anyway the ones I have seen are. They hard-coat the piston sides/skirts for longer wear & resistance to siezing, and have some sort of thermo-ceramic type coat on the top of the piston, for better heat resistance. Again, this is a performance coating, designed for modded engines. Probably wouldn't do much good on a pure stocker engine, but something to consider for a modded one. Not really sure on all the pros/cons of the coating, as I don't know anyone who actually ran one long term, but I have seen them. The hard-coating is kinda pretty compared to the dull grey of the stocker.
