Default Could Someone be of Assistance Please

I was out today dirving around came to a washout put it in AWD and when I hit the gas I hear a snap sound comeing from the the right front it seems to be coming from the CV joint I was wondering do you all think that is the problem I would just like a second opinion before I order one in.
One more thing I see epi sells just the CV Joint Kit Includes: CV Joint, Boot, Clamps & Grease for $139 or the whole thing shaft and all for $239 I was thiking just the CV joint itself save money ,Has anyone done this how hard is it does not look to be to diffucult I am pretty mechanically inclined and figure while I was doing it to also put in some adjusters for the front springs for adjusting preload and get rid of the sag

I thank you for your input

First take your hub off and see if something broke in it.It could be a bearing bad, hilard clutch broke,or just low on fluid. If nothing is bad in there then go to the CV joint.Be sure all the grease points are greased too.
