Default ATV vs. UTV

Hey everyone,

This month's poll question is simple: ATVs or UTVs? Which do you prefer?

Depends what you want to do but between a utility quad or SxS, I'd go SxS. Show me a quad I can fit me and 3 kids on?

If I wanted a UTV I'd buy a Suzuki Sidekick or Geo Tracker and build it up for much less money and be street legal.

I like riding on rather than in a vehicle for off road use.

And I prefer to drive mine instead of wrench on it.

I like riding on an ATV. UTVs (except the RZR) won't fit down most of the trails I ride.

UTV's restrict control- they don't really allow the driver to use body language when things get sticky. If things do go wrong, there's really no option to bail, you have to just hold on and hope for the best. On wider, more level trails, it's no problem- but when you're hitting tighter, hilly / rocky trails at 30+ mph, I feel I have more control on an atv than on a utv.
Plus- around here, utv's can be tricky getting through the restrictor poles.
I also prefer riding "on" the machine, rather than "in" it.

Might as well buy a jeep before a UTV. They have CD players, Heaters and windshield wipers.

My wife has said she wants an RZR. If any of your wives said that, would you argue with her?
