TaoTao 110-D Randomly Chokes Out
Hello All,
My son has a TaoTao Ata 110-D that I picked up used for him about a month ago. The thing starts up, idles, and runs beautifully with no issues at all. However, for some reason out of no where the quad will choke out when you give it gas. Sometimes it doesn't do it, sometimes its 20 min into a ride, sometimes its 2 hours into a ride. Today I changed the fuel filter, air filter, cdi, coil, spark plug wire, regulator, and spark plug. I was hoping it was one of them. I started it up, let it warm up, road around for about 10 min and then it happened, for about 3 min whenever I would hit the gas it would go to choke out. Then all of the sudden it was fine and I rode it for another 30 min without an issue. I am at a little bit of a loss here, any help would be appreciated.

Check the tank breather, they can vacuum the tank and stop fuel getting into the carb. Other likely possibility is water in the fuel, a drop will block a jet, then get through, and the bike will run OK until a new drop blocks it again, a blockage in the fuel system may also cause this. An intermittent short, or loose wire in the ignition system is another possibility.
