I have recently purchased a 2001 300EX and I was wondering how much HP it has, I heard 17hp but that doesnt seem right, my 230 had atleast 17hp if not more, does anybody know the hp on it?

 

Considering an 80cc two stroke has more hp than that I would seriously think the 300 pulls higher hp numbers than that. Unfortunately I don't have an statistics to provide you, but I know it has to be higher than 17hp.

 

theres dyno tests everywhere stock producing 16.9....
ported, cobra pipes(shoulda used differnt ones), cam, piston, its producing 23.7...

I know its a side topic, but what do the old 250x's put out?

 

I heard they put out the same just with a higher rpm range.

 

The voice in my head said that the 250x had about 1/3 to 1/2 a horse more power stock because of the freer flowing exhaust ,higher rev limit and just a bit hotter cam.
