Default YFZ-450 VS. 250R VS. KFX V-Force 700 VS. Banshee- What would win?

Where did this bs about 4 strokes not haveing any mods yet come from. There is an aftermarket part for every piece on these 4 strokes out!!!!! What else are we waiting for to come out that is going to make tremendous power and take over 2 strokes. I know it must be a 2 stroke elimiation kit. It would convert the 4 stroke in to a 2 stroke engine doubling HP. HAHAHAHAHAH Get over it no manufacture has researfched on a 2 stoke since LATE 80's it been 20 years!!!!!!!!!!!!! And there still slower. I know maybe in 15 years ther'll be some magic part that will make 4 strokes high in HP and reliable.

The shee engine was made in the 70's come on boys catch up already!!!

to tomM

the turbo buicks never had twin turbos. The GN's had v-6 3.8L turbo engines in them. They didn't come with intercoolers untill 87. I don't know how one would even fit into a quad frame.

My point was the new YFZ and 450R are too new to have seen the massive mod list come out that the Banshee has. The DS (which has only been out 4 years and is a relatively low volume machine in sales) has seen alot more than the the new bikes.

It's not about 2 strokes being better than 4 strokes. It's about one basic design making more power than another for the same displacement. A jet engine took people to the moon but it's not practical for a car or ATV. A diesal will run forever but has low hp and high torque, again, not too good for ATV's. A 2 stroke makes more power than a 4 stroke of the same size but it's not as durable (you need to rebuild the engine aproximately 3-4 times for every once on a 4 stroke). A 2 stroke also is not as clean burning so it's nowhere near as good for the environment.

While the environment may not be an issue to most people here, it can mean the differance between us being allowed on State and Federal lands or not.

I know I was talking to a relative who's a big Green Peace member and he was almost militaristic in his hatred for ATV's till I told mine was a 4 stroke. Then I even got him to drive it. He got off it and said "I can see why people love these things."

Give me a year and I'll have him buying one!

A 4 stroke engine of the same displacement, in a similar state of tune, will never make the same power as a two stroke engine.

Consider this: 1000cc 4-stroke MotoGP bikes make 240hp. Older designs of 500cc 2-stroke MotoGP bikes make 220hp and are a lot lighter.

It's physics. Get the picture?

What a jet engin took people to the moon, huh? Not on my planet. Here on earth you need a rocket to even break into orbit. What planet are you from?

VForce is a huge disappointment. They are slow as $hit. I had one and went to the kfx400. If I want another tank I will buy an M1 Abrams. My next ride will be a banshee for sure.

Evidently you didnt see what I wrote. Again, I OWNED ONE! It $ucked. Bush should send a few of them VForce 700's over there to replace the tanks we have over there now. We would surely win. I think the whine of that belt on the 700 would be enough to scare some of them taliban dudes.

ok ok your right but my point was still valid. There are positives and negatives to both designs. To say that a 2 stroke is simply better than a 4 stroke is a bit obtuse.
