Default yz450 Race Ready?

I have noticed quite a few people a refering to the yz450 as race ready. Doesnt a race ready quad have to have number plates ,tethers ,nerf bars. Ive talked to a couple of racers and they have already modded the heck out of them with different a arms ,engine and exhaust mods and I have not seen them win at a local track but they finished well. It looks like they are a great starting platform but I dont think race ready . They have been out long enough to show up the major flaws and it seems that there is nothing major so far I would say Yamaha has done a great job. Its on my very short list of choices for next quad.

to race yes you need a tether and nerfs and usually a number plate. for a bike prom the factory it can handle amateur racing quite well. but once you get into the upper classes of mx and xc you need much better suspension components and a lot more power. because in those classes nothing stock will cut it except maybe a cannondale with light mods. and if they are so race ready then why dont you see any mx or xc racers running stock ones. why do they have +6 in swingarms and wider a-arms. i am in complete agreement with you wistech
