My Dad has a stock 86' 250R, and me and him drag race all the time and he smokes me when i am on my on my 300EX.So anyways I am looking for a quad, i have saved up 8000, and I want something stock that can absolutely smoke my dad. It would be an extreme help.

hahahaha im suprised you even thought you had a chance.
stock 250R quads and even trikes arent hard to beat with another stock quad.
PS: seeming as most 250R's arent stock anymore you will have trouble finding one that will beat the majority of them.

8 grand? Banshee baby. $5200 for brand new one. With the other $2600 get pipes, stator plate, cool head, Lectron carbs, K&N, weld and true your crank then you should be able beat yuor dads 250R.

Go for the Zilla. FAST as He!! Great bike and it rockets. Then toss the left overs in on mods. There's one I saw on atvtraderonline about 10mins ago, didn't look at it too much, was goin for 5000.

I would say get the new yamaha 450. That will be way more than enough to make him look stupid... Or get any of the big bore 4 stroke quads. DS650 or Raptor would be the other two that would be a good choice. I say a new 450 though because you seem to be younger and it would be way easier to handle because of the weight and size... JMHO, and because your young you probably worked really hard for that $8000 right?.... Well then don't buy a banshee or 250r. Get something NEW and something that you can hit the key and go riding EVERYDAY without worrying about reliablility.... The 450 IMO would be perfect for you man.
