Coming from some of the most xtreme weather you'll get to ride a quad in, no you don't ned to rejet a stock or lightly modified quad unless it acts up! I've only seen one quad, a '95 Wolverine once in a while in winter run off due to jetting, only once in a while... My buddy had a stock 300EX and rode it straight in winter, no studs, no nothing bone stock, ran great, but if you really wanna go places get some studs, even for the stock tires.... I have my Raptor studded in winter, and gonna lower it too for ice racing and you can't compare with studs! The icier the hill gets, the easier it is! Just deep snow past a foot to a foot and a half deep slows me down, 2 feet seems to stop me no matter what unless it's less than 5 feet of it and you hit it with some momentum... Hand gaurds come in handy, but hand warmers make it nicer for the really cold days... I ride in anything from 40C to -40C, which is 95F ish to -40F... Only with my Raptor I need to step it up a notch in my jetting and I have an open intake w/ no lid and full exhaust, but that's to run perfect, it just runs a tad leaner, the idle is higher, that's all... Never had a prob though, even run just hand gaurds at -20C and no hand/thumb warmers yet, will next winter on a separate set of handlebars with the handgaurds... Other than that, just dress warm and take some breaks, ride on the warmer days if it bugs you at all... I ride my quad on them days or if there's not enough snow for my sled to take out yet... But I luv winter riding just as much if not more! Way more places to go, I luv river riding too! Have fun man...

How deep of snow you think my 300ex stock can get through?

About the same, a foot, they are pretty good, they have awesome reliable engines and with two people on it, not endorsed, it really goes places even without studs in the tires! It has a strong little engine in it! Me and my buddy made it up a ski hill that some 4x4's had a hard time climbing up just cause it can get the momentum up better... I wouldn't worry about any powder under a foot, it'll just slow you down the more you get to a foot... Studs won't help much in the snow, just on ice for hills and for take offs... Better steering and such... If it snows more than a foot, pass on the riding unless you have a sled, that's what they were made for... A 4x4 no matter how good they are can't got through much more than 2 feet at the most themselves without getting into trouble and really slowing down, they just push too much snow after a while and you have to take a run or clear it out again... Stay on the sled trails and you should be fine when the snow gets deeper, or when there's fresh powder on the base....

If you want anything in the form of paddles go with the Realtors... Sand paddles are too weak and hitting anything with speed would more than likely rip them apart and they can't handle the hard surface riding unlike Realtors can that you more than likely will be subjecting it to...

Hey Bomb, go buy a waterproof snowmobile suit... that's what we use over here on the 'cold' side! hehe

For me handlebar covers, heated grips, realtors and skis and a heated visor.
