getting ready for winter riding
#21
I too run the realters in the winter. They work pretty good! I find 2nd gear WFO it'll go though quite a bit! Although every quad has its limits!

You don't find that the Realtors dig down instead of forward too much in loose soft snow? Cause I think the goal is to pack the snow down enough under the tire and push the quad forward on top of it instead of flinging it like Realtors would seem to do in anything but hardpacked snow? They also look like they would slide out too much due to their design of straight bars all the way across? I thought about running them but went to Fast Trekkers instead and luv them cause they are really versatile for all the terrains, not just straight line hookup like the Realtors seem like they were made for? Don't get me wrong, I think they would outperform any tire for drag style hookups in looser but heavier than snow dirt and packed down snow, but for overall riding and to put studs in them they don't seem like a wise choice? I wanna run Fast Trekkers now in dune like sand we got North of here for trails and lots of loose sand cause they got the knobbies everywhere, durability, and the center cup like miny paddles on the 20/18 " tall sizes for the soft snow and sand to pack in there... So many perfect knobbies with a great platform and texture for studding too! I never thought they were going to be as good as they are... I just walk past a Pred with stockers and studs when he gets stuck, I can stock and get going again... I think it has part to do as well with the torque of the Raptor too, I can lug it alot more in the snow... I just liked how the Pred drifted and hooked up better than my Raptor in the snow when I rode it as well in the dirt... Worst stock sport quad ever in the snow without a doubt is the DS650... It must be studded with the too stiff stock tires, or have the tires changed min.... I couldn't believe how much it sucked in the snow!
