I'm getting ready for winter riding. 70 degree days and 50 degree nights. Nice change from 110 degree days and 90 degree nights. I can hardly wait!!

I don't really do anything extra for winter use except wear warmer clothes.

reconranger- How many months out of the year is the temp over 80 degrees? I'm wondering if the warmer states have a shorter period of discomfort in the summer than we do in the winter. We can have 4 to 6 colder months and you don't feel like leaving the house.

Here in Minnesota it doesnt get that hot...but it gets really really muggy. due points like in the 70's! airs so thick it is hard to breath! In the winters it can get below -20 without wind chill (but that doesnt happen that often) and also during the spring it can snow so hard one day that we get off of school and 2 days later have a 90 degree day!! so yeah it sucks here...but then again it is awsome riding in the snow

Coyote-This is data for a state park near Ocotillo Wells and Glamis. This is LOW desert, around sea level. HIGH desert (>4,000 ft) is somewhat cooler. And, we have mountains with woods trails and snow.

Great places to ride!! A lot of everything, except mud!
