lol...correction to both of you all every dyno result ive seen on the 400ex was about 27hp...lol..ahhh who cares, dynos lie, but anyways ive rode my buddys 400ex and i own a kfx400. From what ive seen all it takes is a good pipe and rejet to equal the power difference. As far as somebody with a stock 400EX beating a Z or KFX with a fatboy pipe...lol..well ill believe that when you know where freazes over. The only way this could have happened is if the Z riders was 300 pounds and the ex rider was 120 and then i still dont know who would win for sure. but there is a big HP difference in a stock ex and piped Z. However stock vs. stock the HP difference isnt 4 or 5 like some people are saying, its more like 2 or 3. As far as the 250x goes, well its not a high performance quad. Its a beginer quad, not in the same league as the others.

Get the 250R and put a bottom end pipe on it (esr trx6 pipe) (FMF fatty) and youl have the perfect quad for all those. Youl waste all your friends. But 400ex's are really fun ill tell ya. So if you like new quads more than old or dont like maintencing it as much go with the 400ex.
