Default 400ex vs. blaster

If you purchased a slightly used 400EX and did the same mods it would cost the same and the 400ex would be faster. Its that same old story as the small block vs. big block. Yeah, a small block can be built to beat some big blocks, but everything you can do to a 350 you can also do to the 454 and the 454 will end up making more than enough power to overcome the weight disadvantage.

2001 400EX for approx 3000 dollars with another 2500 in mods will smoke the 5500 dollar blaster.

There's no replacement for displacement.
Okay, How about this.

1996 Blaster $1500.00 with 1500.00 in mods would be faster.

There is no replacement for displacement "until you 've ridden a two stroke.
