i'm sorry, but that's not very convincing. the YFZ suspension (as i've heard from everybody but u) is really good. i'm not tryin to start an argument, but u jus lack ne examples of how the suspension is worse on the YFZ

talk to a real racer and they will all say that suspension is it's biggest down fall. i've raced my fathers a couple of time and after 2 laps I'm done, were as my ds i can last 4 laps.

think what you want, or beleave your frinds that only own 1 of the quads. I don't care! to tell you the truth I tell every one to buy the yfz, even i might but suspension will be the first thing i get!

ok thanx, it's nice to get a racer's opinion. i wish i could get new suspension on my 400EX, i bottomed out the front shocks numerous times last weekend, i was only gettin like 3 feet of air too. Is there ne thingi can do, other than adjusting the preload, to make my shocks better? i can't afford new suspension. thanx.

I bottom out my ds all the time, new shocks are the way to go. check east coast atv they may have a set of used works for cheap? thay also do up grades, if you buy a set of new shocks they'll give you cash for yours. just something to think about.

dsracer, how much faster is the 450 compared to your ds? i'm assuming you're talking acceleration.

me and my dad did many runs on tar, the first two times he got the jump but after 5or10 feet I passed him and after 300+ yards I was about 3-4 quad lengths a head

then we switched I was on his quad I jumped out front and stayed there 300+ yards later I was about 4-5 quad lengths a head.

mine with the mods in my sig is almost tied to his bone stock! so stock for stock if someone was to time one person on both quads the yfz should win 300+ yard drag by 1-3 quad lengths depending on starts?

The yfz!!!!!

Last weekend, we had a drag race down one of our side roads!!! It was the yfz, a DS, and a kfx 700.
The guy on the 700, desent rider. The guy on the DS, awesome rider. The guy on my 450, sucky rider! All 3 of these guys weigh about the same!!! The 450 not only beat the other 2, but he also pulled away from them!!!!! Then he got the holesot on them back-to-back!!!! That has been the talk of our group since!!!! One of my friend's ,with a ds, dropped it and went and bought a 450!!!
