theres no question it would spank the 400 and send it home cying . All I'm saying is he didnt have to gas his as much to go. Thats all. I was very impressed with the performance of it.

 

i would say that the ds is a better bike. YFZ is a racing bike. DS is more of an all rounder, you can do everything with it (jumps, trail ride, forest ride, race, drag etc.) So it depends on wat your looking for.

 

i also heard that the 450 is a lot more fragile.....hit a rock or something..........you got a chance that something will break, bend etc.

 

The 450 is impressive in the sand. But, I dont like it as an overall package. Too small. No torque. Thumb throttle (if you drive one for a few hours you'll know what I'm talking about) Will it outrun a DS? Depends. In most cases yes. But i'd rather have the torque and legroom. Maybe that's why I drive the KFX700. More torque and legroom than an 18 wheeler.

i wish my 450 looked as tight as your 250r does in those pics...
but being single is not a bad thing i just got dumped because i ride and work on my stuff tooo much.... thats why im not mad i got dumped...
i think it would be cool as hell to ride with a chick.. especially one who can keep up (and maybe it will be the other way around, me trying to keep up) to bad there is alot of distance between us i would defiently not hesitate to meet you.....


i think everybody has that problem when they go from a 2-stroke to a dohc 4stroke. theses just way to much stuff to "mess up" im not saying i couldent work on my bike but i would much rather tear down my blaster....

as for the topic.
i dont see how you can call the yfz susp. bad. it may not compair to aftermarkets but you have to think of price here. that was cannondales problem. PRICE
as for power i agree with those who say there is no comparison between the ds and the yfz they run in 2 totally different ways the ds has awesome torque and the 450 is for mad reving HP im not starting an argument here... but those who say either is defiently better than the other prolly dosent know what they are talking about. or hasent ridden one or the other.

in the next 2-3 weeks i'm gonna be able to ride the DS and the YFZ that i was talkin about. we'll be riding out at pismo so we'll see which i prefer. if i'm lucky and my paycheck comes soon, then i will have a 416EX to compare to them. either way, i'll smoke then when it comes to riding skill, but they'll kill me in a drag. lol. can't wait.

When the drag racing took place, a friend of ours was trying the 450 out. THe drag was planned, really. THey just started doin' it!
THe 450 is broke in now!!! I'm havin' some problems with it, so i don't get to ride it that often.
