My F7 (698cc 2 Stroke 140 Hp Stock) Will literally tear it a new a$$ whole. The only sled that compares to the F7 in terms of speed is a ZR900 which is a (862cc 2 Stroke 150 Hp Stock) and they are so close in a race. I don't know how they made the F7 so fast but they get going. Acceleration is awesome. My Sled will do 119 MPH on GPS But it gets there so fast. My Dads ZR900 will do like 122 MPH on GPS but then again 164 more cc's. If you were looking for a sled to dominate then go for a F7 because you can leave them stock and beat everything and you can beat most modded sleds.

They make a turbo kit for the RX1.....polaris makes a 4 stroke. Arctic Cat makes a four stroke, and i think Ski-doo might have one...

This thread rocks!

I was just saying a RX1 already has 300 more cc's lol It will have to have a turbo kit just to stay with a F7. Artic cat makes a 660turbo 4 stroke and it isn't fast. Ski doo and polaris might make a 4 stroke sled but its not a performance sled so there not even in this conversation. There is some fast sleds out there but Arctic cat makes all of them. F5 dominates 500's F6 dominates 600's F7 dominates 700's on up. Then there is the ZR900 that will smoke everything except a F7.

Yeah Arctic Cat sleds are the best imo...not saying i don't like the others. I'm just not a big fan of Rotax engines, Polars' suspenion, or Yamaha's snowmobile weight problem. The New Rev's are nice though! Best move ski-doo could've made since....EVER

When I think of Arctic Cat:
Light
Fast
Dependable

I acually like the new Rev platform. They ride awesome. The other day My Friends Dad bought a 600 H.O and a 800 H.O . There not broke in yet but I got on it and punched it and it was pretty quick. They probably are the best handling sled out there. They ride really nice. In 2005 I might be switching brands for a while to a Skidoo because there making a 1000cc Mach Z under the Rev platform. 1000cc 2 stroke triple or twin not for sure yet but no matter what it will be one awesome sled.

but hoping this year will be different.
I also enjoy snowmobiling more than ATVing, lets face it, they are faster!!!
They are faster, but quads are more manuverable.

Oh man your right on that. Do all your sleds have plastics on your skis? My dealer took them off and put carbides on the skis and man it turns so easily now. Picture driving a 400ex and turning and pushing on the gas. Do the same with my sled and the back end goes right around.

Anyways, if my parents came up to me and said "Do you want a BRAND NEW fourwheeler or snowmobile?", I'd go with a new fourwheeler. The snowmobile season is too short and the maintenance on them is much greater than on a quad. Snowmobiles depreciate quicker than quads (from what I've seen).

Ski-Doo has the "Elite". They've gotten ideas from their "2 seater quads" I guess and made the elite a 2 seater sled. It's like the Rhino (Yamaha). The Elite is a 1500cc 4-stroke. With an engine like that it should smoke a Civic... lol

Are you sure they are making a Mach Z 1000? Ski-Doo doesn't make the "Mach" models anymore. Although I'm right, I heard rumors that the "Mach" and "Blizzard" name will be brought back sometime soon. I don' tknow why they'd be making another 2-stroke engine though because 2006 is when they cannot make 2-strokes anymore.

Oh and it will most likely be a TWIN and not a TRIPLE because Ski-Doo has abandoned triples because they are harder to start and the middle cylinder doesn't cool properly. The differences between a triple and a twin (I hope I didn't read it from this thread because I'd be regiving information).:

Let's say you have an 800 TWIN and an 800 TRIPLE.
If they both raced on equal conditions, rider weight and skill/experience and track:
The TWIN would take off quicker but around the 90MPH mark the TRIPLE will begin to accelerate much quicker and smoke the TWIN.

sidenote: We blew the clutch on our 3500 Citation tonight, pulled it back with the Mach 1.

This is kind of off topic, but my dad decided to sell MY snowmobile today, so does anybody know how much a 1980 Arctic Cat Lynx 2000T might be worth? Its 275cc 2-stroke twin cylinder. It has been kept inside for the 1st 19 years and I kept it covered really good and jacked up outside for the past 4 years in NY. It starts by the 3rd pull most of the time. It looks great, but the engine needs to be rebuilt.

Never had any starting or cooling problems with my Mach 1. I think they abandoned the triple because they weigh more and take up more room under the cowl. The new twins handle better, but the triple sound is just pure AWESOME!!
