Snowmobiles
#21
lol I am gonna jump back on topic here and say yes I do ride snowmobiles...however I dont have very good ones...I think they are like '82 or earlier artic cats. I have riden my uncles 700 yami though and it flies. I hit 70 across a field and I was not 100% sure where all th bumps and stuff were so I backed off. Ill argree that sleds have less of a detuned engine then a quad (detuned not less power)

Heck, you guys outa be lucky you've got brakes at all. My 1980 Arctic Cat Lynx doesn't have any. Oh well, I don't need them much anyway. Not like the thing goes all that fast. It only has a 270cc twin cylinder 2-stroke engine in it. I would love to have one of the new Arctic Cat's, but since I only get to go riding about 2 days a year (If I'm very lucky), it isn't worth it.

Anyways, my friend and I were out sledding today. We tried to find places to open up and we really couldn't. We made a trail up to a lake that's on my land and we made a trail across it. I only got the machine up to 110Km/H across it and I've got a 583. He got his Formula S 380 up to about 110KM/H as well. Across our field, he got it up to like 100 and I can get mine up to 100 and it really sucks cause my engine is bigger. But I remember some guys telling me that a 600 MXZ and an 800 MXZ pretty much have the same top speed, except that the 800 only get's there quicker. I think it's the same with comparing the 583 and the 380. If that's the way things work, then I would like to get a smalelr sled because all that power under the hood doesn't really matter. I think a 440 would be nice. If my friend and I raced, I would beat him but if I gave him like a 2 second head start, I think it would be a while before I passed him. I can't wait to get my sled onto a packed trail so I can open it up on a stretch.

So guys what plugs do you use in your sleds? BR9ES or BR8ES? The dealer always puts in BR9ES's but I prefer the 8's because they seem to produce more power and start better.
