IMO, 13 year olds shouldn't be riding anything bigger than a 150 anyway. I was 13 once a long time ago and I know how kids that age can be(they think they're immortal). I don't agree with the law though saying you have to be 16 to ride anything above 90cc. His parents probably got the quad for him and he shouldn't complain wether it's a 450R or an LTA80. It may be alright to have a big quad if his parents ride with him, but that is hardly ever the case. When he has a job and can pay for his own quad then he can get whatever he wants.

what i did was skip the smaller quad alltogether, and just saved and saved and now i've got my 400ex, which i am sure to be responsible on, even though it is hard sometimes not to think that i am immortal when i am on it

The age limit thing is stupid...They have tests for snowmobiles when you are 12...then you are able to ride ne size snowmobile you want right? well what is the difference bewteen the two...I mean a 12 year old could be doin 100+ on a snowmobile but we dont want them to be doing over 30 on a quad?

those age limits are bogus. i am 12 years old, however i am 6 foot 1 inch and weigh 170 pounds and a very experienced and responsible rider. those mini quads just dont have enough power. for me at least

I'm a new user here, and I have to say I don't understand the bias against the Kazuma. I'm in my 30s, and I have a Kazuma Dingo 150 and absolutely love it. It's fast (yes, it goes 50mph), it's powerful (I ride steep mountain trails), it has great clearance (I jump large logs all the time), and it's reliable (never the slightest problem). Before you post negatively about the Kazumas, I suggest you actually ride one.

It is not even close to fast if you compare it to the newer performance quads that hit low to mid 70's. I would say they go about 35-40 mph from the factory. Its only a 150, so thats not bad for the displacement.
