I just bought a 03 baja and love it but the power really drops off at about 3000rpm. I am looking to smooth out the power band with exhuast either slip on or full system. I do not need major power increase, just looking for something that sounds good"not too loud" and gives a good power curve. I don't want to get too involved in jetting or other mods. Thanks for the help in advance!

 

The power is great, but it seems to dip at about 3000rpm. At about 4000rpm it takes off like a rocket

how far does the graydon stick out? and can you still get them with the painted slincer?

 

on a stock ignition. your power band is going to be from around 3600rpms to about 6600 rpms.instead of a pipe if u are just trying to get a broader powerband, just go buy a cdi rev box.

 

if you want a good but cheap pipe, hollow out your stock pipe, then make a 3in. hole in your end cap. it adds good power!!

mine was holered out and ran good but you had to wear ear plugs to ride it, sounded like a mack truck with straights.
