Just because quad A beats quad B doesn't neccessarily mean Quad C will beat quad B.
Theres more to racing than who's got the bigger and badder engine. There is no "probably" in racing, either you win or lose.
I've seen 686 get its *** handed to it by a 370.Remember we don't race on dynos.

ya if quad A beats quad B then C can beat D but if were to race A then A would still win cause it beat B but B can beat F and everone knows F is the fastest cause it beats Z wich Beat Q. lol i think i read somethin like that in a math problem!

I have been riding atvs for the last 10 years and bikes for over 36 years. I raced mx from the time I was 12 till I turned 21 which is when I switched to road racing. Now I have rode some fast quads but have also been on some fast bikes and I can tell you that although the quads did take a lot of skill to ride good the dirt bikes put you through more of a work out. My point is if you two want to keep throwing crap back and forth at each other thats fine because I'm getting a kick out of watching but don't bad mouth all bike riders until you have climbed on a YZ450 or done 185 on a GSX1300.

Telico,I ride a dirtbike too Cr500r,so I know where your coming from about the racing.I just get sick of all the"my bike can beat your bike because my friends bike beat a bike like yours."
Theres so much more involved with tires, suspension tuning and riding. My 500 is a very fast bike, unfortunately it has never seen the dunes. Not to mention I would be clueless how to set the suspension up since Ive never ridden it on deep sand.
My guess would be that I would be somewhat dissapointed until I learned how to set it up and found out what the best tire would be.
Thats why I can't stand bench racing.
I don't recall calling you a bench racer telico.

Well, I seen a Z440 smoking just about everyone out at the pismo dunes. This thing would straight explode out og the hole. Awesome sight. I raced a yzf450 a couple weeks ago on my Banshee. It has vito superstocks at 2 sizes bigger, toomey pipes, prodesign foam filter. I nearly smoked him. we were head to head atleast five times and he beat me a couple times. The difference in weight was why I think he didnt get smoked everytime. Im 250 he was about 130. The 450 is awesome no doubt. I would probably get one but im a 2 stroke fanatic. I would consider getting the Z450 though

Ok here is the answer to my own question. The Z440 straight out smoke the 310 off the line all the way to the holeshot and we hit the first turn. We both slowed down took the turn and hit the small jump, there was a 300feet straight of way and that's when the 2stroke kick my fcnkg azz. THIRD & FOURTH GEAR AND HE WAS GONE!!!!!but the Z440 came back do to the fact that after the straight their is a huge corner. At the end of the day we both are very happy with our quad. I have to say my friends 310R is bad azz(ESR) sure knows how to build an engine.

yep, and there are some banshees at glamis that will kill all of the fourstrokes and the zillas. no matter how fast you are, someone is always faster. the best you can try to do is be happy with your own quad and beat your friends.
