Thats a good start that yamaha and honda are not in the equation------ z400 is lighter but much slower, predator is a much better all around atv-------advantages over z400:

1.100cc more
2.42.6 horsepower
3.fox shocks
4.its made in USA
5.Better handling
6. better overall appearence

Default Pred OR Zed for hare scrambles???

Yeah im realy happy with the dealers that look after my zilla and they sell polaris and Suzuki thats the main reason, im nut sure im after the same kind of performance i have in the zilla and its a bit late in the day to have any delusions about beeing ultra competative as im 31 and only got on a quad for the first time last october,

my main reason for wanting to do the hare scrambles is that current land issues in the uk mean its easier to just enter organised events than just take yourself out riding and also i have no friends that are into atvs so it will be a good way to meet like minded people,

as things stand both the pred and zed are new to the UK and unproven, im prety sure theres gona be at least 4 preds in the british quad mx championships this year,

and they took 3,4,5 at this years weston beach race and baring in mind the 2 guys who beat them are without doubt the best riders in the uk it says alot for the preditor,

only real draw back is the pred is £1000 dearer than the z400,

but in fairness i might become disatisfied with the z400 power and want to start throwing £££ into big bore kits and so on,

what im looking for is the best quad strait out of the box, my zilla is evolving into a very specialised machine and although ive got more money in it than i could hope to sell it for id rather keep pumping the cash in to it than having to spit betwwen the zilla and what ever i decide to get as my second quad,

hope this gives a better idea of where im comming from.
