its pretty good at jumping its just that the people that have all the yfz and evrything are so used to the plush ride of their fancy quads that they get on a banshee and automatically thing o wll this suspension sucks. it just takes some getting used to and you can easily jump on a banshee

I Have no Trouble Riding my Shee on the Trails. I'll even put it Thru Mud up to a foot deep. All I Have to say is if the Shee is So called Outdated or Not that good of a Quad Why is it the one everyone Compares There Quads to. Im Going to Rocky Ridge sunday and will be Putting it on the Trails.

I've talked to people that couldn't hardly believe I still trail ride my banshee. They thought all it was good for was drag racing.Sure it's a blast to race, but trails are still possible.Sure it's a gas hog,but they are still rideable.Actually,to me,it was easier to trail ride after it was ported.Just my 2 cents.

Actually, I went riding this one time leading a bunch of ute's through the Chautauqua County Trail system and by the time theye were running outa gas I still had a half a tank! I thought the Shee would be a gas hog too but truthfully there not at all, I could ride all day long on one tank of gas on that thing, plus it was great fun through the woods trails, cause I was the only quad who could keep up with the kx250's!! I put a bit taller Chen Shin wooley booger tires on the back of it, took the rear stock skid plate off it and I could go through almost anything with it! It would roost through the mud & water no problem when your powerbanding in 2nd or 3rd gear. No reverse or E-start on it but i could always lock the front tires and spin it walking it around the front end on a dime to turn around They are high maintenence (2-cylinders, 2-carbs, 2 pipes ect..) and take a lot of tinkering to run perfect but when they do the 2-stroke powerband is AMAZING! Could you imagine: The year 2008, Yamaha makes a new Banshee 600 2-cylinder 2-stroke on a YFZ 450 frame with e-start and reverse, oh boy now im drooling i betr stop..

Switch to 35mm keihins converted to alcohol and goodbye gas mileage.Fun though. Now my wife's banshee still has the stock carbs and you are right. When we last went to an atv park she rode all day on 1 tank of gas.I thought that was pretty good.We both had a blast, and she didn't mind going back to the truck so I could fill my tank back up.Then again I didn't have all this work done thinking it would be a gas saver.LOL!
