Default good spark plugs

I cant figure out which ones are the good ones. I dont think mine has been replaced since 1987... I hope it has, but I want t get a good one. What are the good ones to look for and which ones shouldn't I get?

I guess an "aftermarket spark plug" is what Im looking for.

NGK is about the best quad plug you can buy. Most everyone runs them......and changes them frequently, on a yearly basis probably wounldn't hurt.
