Default Best modded quad

hello all,
I'am looking at buying a fourwheeler again and wondered what would be the best one to get with mods like:
exhaust, cam, K&N with open lid, jetted of course, prolly a rev limiter, and high compression piston.
so far i have been leaning toward the raptor.
i had a 400 ex in the past, it was piped K&N with open lid and jetted, it was a nice machine just not fast enough or as much turque as i would like.
i ride through trails, some light dragging with freinds, and maybe some dunes.
thanks

Sounds like you figured it out. For what you listed, a Raptor would be best.

any one know about how much hp this setup would be putting out?

A piped and jetted, probably not. Even though that is what ct claims on their dyno and dirtwheels'. But he also said he would have a high comp piston and aftermarket cdi box. Read the thread before you post.

The new 450s would probably be real good for you. There light weight and handle well. With the mods you sugguest you would probably see around 45hp at the rear wheels. The reason I didnt sugguest the ds is because of trail riding. I have had problems making it down some trails around here because of the width of the bike. Though with the mods your sugguesting you might see more hp out of the Ds.

thanks for all the info so far!
i want a fourstroke so that rules out the shee.
my cusin had a ds650 it was a real nice machine but i just don't like the fact of all that weight, and there don't seem to be near as many aftermarket parts for the ds as there is the raptor.
the width doesn't bother me any since whatever i get i will prolly end up widening anyway to make it more stable for the increased power.so i guess after typing that maybe i ought to reserch the bomb's a little more; since they're already wide.
so would a ds with the mods i listed in my first post be able to keep up with a raptor with the mods listed in my first post.
it sure would make things easier if the ds was 100 lbs lighter.
