my 2-cents: The DS is a monster, and virtually worthless on an MX track or in the woods. In open country its pretty plush and soaks up uneven roads well. The raptor is an odd machine IMHO even compareed to my pred it felt tall and well a bit heavy which is strange because its lighter than the pred (at least on paper - some here might argue the weight issue). So that leaaves the Pred, which was my choice when it was time to lay the greenbacks down on the table. Fast and well setup right from the show room floor - add the pure polaris pipe and you have a very capable machine for everything but pure MX racing.

The pred that won it is my dealer....Doug Nicholas from Nicholas Cycle Racing.....I think he was running 4.4's or somewhere in that region, probably + - .2 sec. He is very fast, and should not be overlooked.

Little off topic here, and I did post the same question in the suzuki area, but since there are so many raptor owners her I thought I might ask...
Kid was sellin an 04 LE Raptor for 4,500. Is this a good deal. I got the impression that he wanted to get rid of it fast, and may go even lower on the price. On a quick look, it seemed to be in great condition, all stock, and my fav color, black.
Actually, I ran into the kid at the dealership in my area, and was about to sign the line for an 04 z400 for 5400. This kind of grabbed my attention.... What do you think??
