OOh wow. 500 miles in a circle. It takes a lot of endurance but its doesnt compare to other tipes of racing. IE: superbike, f1, lemans, gt, baja, paris/dakar, etc.

Dakar and all that other wussy races only occur may be once or twice a month. Nascar is every weekend for 9 months straight. These boys will shed 5-10lbs of weight a race. Maddog you sit your as in a car for 4 hours @ 100 degrees plus and see how well you hold up and do it time and time again every weekend. Some of these guys will even race the busch series as well. Hell some nascar boys will but on more mile in a month than any dakar wuss would put on in a year.

I know I will never win the nascar battle on a forum like this. Not necessarily you sparky, but there are too many rednecks around here that will go to the grave defending nascar that I just assume that I will be cut apart.

To each thier own.

MADDOG
My cousin was @ the vegas race a couple weeks ago. He said the same as you, he never seen so many rednecks and mullet congregating and inbreeding in one area. I thought that was where they cast the actors for deliverance was at a nascar venue. LOL.
I don't mind wathing it myself but prefer to watch the World rally tour. Those guys are frickin nuts going straight sideways on a gravel road beside a sheer 500 foot drop. Now those guys have some *****.

Nascar shows how comercialism can completely bastardize a motor sport. Even rally racing is going down the tubes with the loss of the unlimited cars. But at least there is skill involved to drive one of those cars.Ever seen a rally driver blink.
Its still kind of funny listening to people talk about which circlejerker is better.

Rally racing is awesome. 100mph around hairpin turns on iced mountain gravel roads with a 400hp featherlight car. Now thats driving.

Jr. will not be as great as his father. No way, no how. And if Jr. is so damn great, why has he lead the points only one time...and that was the begining of this season? By now he should have 1-2 championships, if he is going to close in on his father.

Jr. is only dominate on the super speedways, and that won't win championships. Besides...everyone know's Ryan Newman is the next big star in Nascar. His entire purpose on being on the track is to be the fastest. He runs as hard on lap 1 as the very last.

Jr. is just a snot nosed brat, that will not be 1/2 of what his father was. And his legion of fan's are mostly dale sr. supporters looking for someone to back, and since there is only one earnhardt left...they back jr.

BTW...if Jr is going to be the best ever, then where will that leave Newman? Newman won more races in one season, then Jr. could in 3 or 4....hmm?

To answer your question. MOPAR all the way.

As for Newman. Why did nascar require all the cars to put the ignition boxes on top the cars??? Because Newman was found to be cheating by switching them back and forth.

JR, He has the best of everything, didn't earn any of it and still stink. He also blames everyone when he runs bad. Like pit crew. But what he forgets is that it is his crew that gets him the sweet engines that winn all his races. Like at TALLADEGA, and DAYTONA. Which happen to be the only tracks that you dont have to shift or brake. HEll he dosent even need the draft. Kinda funny I guess...

As for the best it is obviously Jeff Gordan. Hes 32 years old. Been raceing for 12 years and has 64 wins. LOOK at Dale sr... 26 years raceing and 76 wins. Jeffs stats speak for them self. Pluss jeff has wins when there were other competitive cars on the track un like dale sr. But he dosent drive for a beer car and can speak english. So rednecks wolln't root for him.... Thank god!!!!!!!!
