The Gas Gas quads are built with the turn signals in the fenders (available in the European countries). If we could get one of those equipped with the lights here, a change of tires, add a horn, and a mirror, you should be good to go. The tough part would be to figure out what registration you would need. I personally feel it should be the same as a motorcycle. But to keep it up to highway speeds, it would also require a gearing change.

Yeah, getting it licensed is a whole different story I can imagine.

Check out custum motorcycle laws. Or whatever VW trikes fall under. It's a good place to start. And don't forget a speedometer. A gps should work.

try your local dealer i asked at one here in WI and here 3 wheels and less can be legalized but not 4

I saw once in an issue of dirt wheels wher the guys had costumized araptor for the street. He had converted it to a 3 wheeler. the rear swing arm took only one tire. Can't remember which issue though.

Yeah I remember seeing that in there too. That would be weird to ride. 2 wheels in front 1 in the back.
