The very best stock quad.

You are entitled to your opinion. I personally am not ignortant enough to think like you. I believe that all of these bikes are good, just some are better than others for certain things.
I would take a yfz over a pred in a heartbeat. What does the pred have over the yfz? Its more comfortable for long trail riding, and that can easily be remidied.

And personally I think it has a better engine, and I like the looks of the pred better(especially the wheels) I too, am true to polaris, and my dealer is great at modding these things, so i'll stick with them and still be fast.

I was riding at a small dune area yesterday with a 760 DS(owner BigWaynester on the forums) I was really impressed when he started it up,man the ground rumbled! nice machine.. We didn't even think of racing just having a good time.. The day went well till his tranny got stuck in 3rd gear...
The pred is fast and a great machine,i really like mine if we all had the same quad it would be boring,so if you don't like a certain brand shut up we don't care what you think keep your pointless opinion to yourself...
NO ONE can tell me that polaris quads have more problems or their friend's polaris quad had a lot of problems, look at what happened to the DS i was riding with yesterday, look in the yamaha forum Raptor this Raptor that its always some sort of problem,,,they ALL have problems,so if you have no common sense and believe one brand is perfect you really need to get an IQ test you may be eligible for disability..

And since there are many more shops working on the yfz, even with the shorter life it has had, then the possibilites are just as good if not better. Its harder for a polaris owner to find a somewhat local shop that has experience with the pred. Its not the pred's fault, but there are just fewer units out there and a lesser aftermarket demand.
BTW, on the looks department, what is up with the gas tank plastic??? Its my OPINION that its ugly as sin.

yeah the gas tank has a few problems....i dont mind it for looks, just a little unusual(plus it probably save a little weight), but the worst part is the plastic rubs on your knees. I have the fortune of having a good dealer and he works on polaris quads, so I have performance parts and service at my side. The pred has a little more power than the yfz, but yeah they are both great quads. The pred is however, in my opinion, built more heavier duty.

The best is dependant on rider and where they ride. Best for motocross or cross country racing is the YFZ stock.
For trail riding the Z400 is hard to beat for comfort. The Raptor would be my first pick if it wasnt for all the transmission problems Ive seen with even the late model Raptors. The new Honda would be tops for trail riding if it werent for the lack of reverse...if ya dont mind hauling your quad around that's your huckleberry.
The DS and Vforce are both sweet if youre a big strong rider. The Vforce a bit less so than the DS but not by much.
For drags it's gonna be either the DS or shee in my book but you'll hear arguments on that one for days....

I didnt mention the Predator cause it's one of the few I havent ridden much. From what Ive seen of them around the track they seem to handle well. Kinda one of those machines that's good at everything but not the best at anything. No reverse and a bit front heavy for trail riding I think.

i trail ride and hill climbs and dirt roads and the terrain up here is pretty rocky on the mountains. So the 450 is just too low bottoms out in the ruts and your stuck on a steep hill climb. DS is just too wide for my style of riding. a shee just too much for me and i'm a 4 stroker through and through no offence to 2's though. pred dono never really rode one but i despise polaris heard it's a nice quad though. Warrior to short not enough clearance just bottom out. kfx or z400 i've seen alot that have loved them for what i do. raptor is what i have and it just hates havin front tires which sucks on hill climbs but i can deal with it, for what i do it's more than what i need and does it all.
Just my opinion and 2 cents

There is no one quad that is the best in every category. There will always be one quad better then another in a certain situation.
But if you want to build a quad to be a drag racing beast with tons of speed, the Raptor and the Banshee are right there. The DS's are also supposed to be fast when you start sinking $$ into them.
The best stock quad for MX'ing is of course the YFZ. In stock form, nothing compares to them in acceleration and quickness. Not even a Predator.
For a good trail ride, the Raptor also dominate's this category. But the KFX/DVX/Z400's are all right there for trail riding.
You can't forget about the 400ex either as a good quad in the handling category.
You just have to shop around and see what you feel comfortable on and what you want. It's all about what you want, and if all these Predator's are so damn fast, they are definetly not over here where I ride. And since they are so fast, and 42hp stock, I'm sure they will be running everywhere in Aledo this June for Summer Nationals. I'll be watching for some Predator's to run against.
