if the 400ex sucks then why do people even buy them. And how come at the race i was at the other weekend the only quads there in 4 stroke class was a 400ex. explain that

I have seen riders in the Blaster class beat 400EXs in races. Does this mean the Blaster is a superior machine? Not by a longshot. It does mean that a much more highly skilled rider was aboard that Blaster vs that 400EX that day. Look at the overalls, you will not see the top riders on 400EXs being beat by Blasters, Mojave's, Warriors, or anything, except maybe 250Rs....

You say only 250r can beat the 400ex, and how about the bombardier Ds650 or the yz426 quad.

 

Come on now. The YZ426 quad doesn't exist, only in rare custom built race machines, heck, if we are including all the custom configurations out there your argument could go on forever. How about a turbocharged XR650R quad, or maybe the Kawasaki KX250 based quad that Bill Ballance was riding last year...

The DS-650 - in a drag race, yes, most other cases, no.

But the top Kawsaki guy on a Mojave is beating everyone on a stock mojave go figure.

 

Yea I can beat a 400ex on my 300ex if some little kid was driving it.

 

A mojave will never beat a 400EX with same skilled drivers. Mojaves have no power what so ever, only engine mod you can do on a mijave to have it beat a STOCK 400EX is to throw the KX250 engine in the quad frame.
