Thinking about jumping ships....

I'm debating whether or not to put a 440 kit in the EX and have it all tricked out. Or go buy a YFZ450. W/e I do, i need more power. I would go for the 450R, but i like electric start too much to give up.

If you are primarily a trail rider, stay with the Honda! I spent an afternoon trail riding a friends YFZ, and I was GLAD TO GET OFF THAT THING AND BACK ONTO THE Z400 AT THE END OF THE DAY.

Try out a Predator 500. No kidding... I shopped around a lot and am super pleased with what I got for the dollar... a jet kit, airbox mods and a pipe turn it into a YFZ-eating monster (in a straight line, at least) and it's built more durable for trail riding.

My buddies 440ex with sparks cam and rocker arm's lost by 1-2 lenghts to a stock YFZ-LE in a 1/4 mile pavement race. The EX was close, but not close enough to even think about a pass.
I believe a 39mm or 41mm FCR would help the ex and close the distance some.
