Whats up everyone! I am new to your forum so take it easy on me! I know this same question has probably been asked 50 times in the last month but i don't have enough info on either quad to decide which one to buy. I am asking anyone's honest non biased opinion. I have done my homework on both quads but have not had a chance to ride either one. I don't want to MX or TT race but I might get into some GNCC racing later on. I am from the Midwest so most of my riding is in the woods. I know both quads run equally on top end but how is the low end and mid range for tight woods riding? Which bike would be more rider friendly in the woods? I would like to know some pros and cons on both quads in any area? Well if you have read this much i appreciate your time and your feedback will be greatly appreciated!
Bottom line is they are both equally powerful and can be manipulated to really perform. The question then becomes .... to push start or not to push start? that is the questioin.

Recently at a local harescramble, a 450R stalled it twice on an off-camber. The kick was on the down-side....very nervous rider, cause someone had just rolled down that hill.

so i ridin both of them and i owned a blaster befor and a kfx400 so i only weight 150 and im 6'3 and it was hard for me to throw the 400 around and the blaster was so easy to throw around and so when i was ridin the 450's the yfz feels small like a blaster and the 450r feels bigger like the 400 and has the same light nosie like the 400 and is more nimble but the yfz size makes it feel like it always huges the ground and does very well in the croners. well thats what i think about the quads so i went with the yfz yamaha power all the way

its a big topic, and very debatable IMO, but ive heard the trx is more comfortable, besides, its a little cheaper, allowing you to add some mods forthe price of a yfz, Ride both, i was in the same jam only in he 250 class, i rode every quad, and i loved mine the best, no regrets, good luck.

jeez....these are all very honest replys...finally no more yelling and getting mad at everyone...Way to go boys...but anyways...i have NOT ridden either one yet...but everyone around here seems to like the YFZ better...has more of an attack feel to it witch could be bad or good..depending on your riding style..you should go to a dealership get some seat time in on both machines...that makes it alot easier to choose

i was in the same boat when my mom told me i was getting for a new atv for my b day. i went with the atv that had the most (fun factor). i rode both and picked the yfz 450. the seat isn't that bad and i went from a rancher to it. and the rancher seat is preety soft.for woods racing it is fine. i only stalled it once in the woods and that was the first week i had it(dec 16.)go with the one you feel the most comfortable sitting on.
