Default Head Gasket

Here is what I'm asking I have a 2003 Yamaha Blaster and I'm going to shave the head 20 thousands. We'll I told my dad and he said that i would have to replace the head gasket and i was wondering if i had to or could i just reuse the same one?

Does anbody know how much torque I need to use when I put the head bolts back on

Follow your dads advice. Sorry, can't help you with the torque.

.02 is not going to make that big of a difference, people have gone as much as .035 (some have gone even further) without rechambering the head. Yes do use a new gasket, and the torque specs are 20 ft/lbs.

Always use a new gasket no matter what.
