I'd go ds650 before a raptor, unless you ride tight trails and need reverse. jmo.

 

Definately the raptor. The only trouble mine has given me is when I screwed up.

ever think of a z400? they are a step up from the ex. just thought i would put the bug in your ear.

 

I would go with the 400ex.. I dont know if it the riders around my area but I can tear any raptor in a drag race.. I have spent about 2 months fine tuning this machine and it will out run a craptor,z400,dvx,stock for stock..besides pipe,jetting,filter...The only problem is that others dont take the time to fine tune there machines.. They get them close and call it good.. And that poss. the only reason why I can whip them..

better suspenion? you call 8.5 inches better! dont you ever read dirt wheels! predator was a better trail quad than the raptor! 11 inches of back travel. now 11 inches is better than the ex's suspension.

the 400ex has better dampening and re-bound which is what makes it better

 

I have ridden both. The 660 is too top heavy and the ones I see break more than others. I love my 400ex. Best all around ride. And DO NOT buy a yfz 450 or a 450R no matter what anyone says, it would be like taking a lowered mini truck off road. I have ridden both of those and geeze they are definitely NOT a trail bike. Great purpose race machine.
