now i've been riding for a while about 4 years i have an 87 250x that i can throw around and its getting boring not enough power for wheelies or bigger jumps not enough speed to keep up with my friends i mostly ride at the local jack frost and trails and powerlines around my county but jack frost might be closing but im not sure so im looking into a good trail bike and also a bike that can be riding at jack frost i've narrowed it down to the 400ex and the raptor raptor because more power and reverse and 400ex because good trail and mx and wheelie bike but no reverse what are you opinions

I had a 400ex and the handling was great. Could use a little more power but definately plenty to play with. I had no breakdowns at all. Good machine. JMO

 

Go with the 400ex i had a 2002 raptor it would break every 2 weeks and so far my ex has only broke twice and ive had it over 2 years

 

im sort of leaning towards the raptor i want to be able to ride it for a while with out wishing i had more power and i mean all these high performance quad i would ike the closest thing to them but don't get me wrong i love the 400ex it just i think after a while i would the same way about my 400 that i do with my 250x now bored and wishing for a little more power

every 400ex I have rode with gets left eating my dust on the trails.

if you like eating dust, or if you ride with other 400ex's...get 1

but if you ride with bigger bikes, you will be pissed you got a 400ex
