Has anyone heard any updated release information on the Cannondale FX400? The motocross bikes are shipping in good quantities now.

Answered my own question, but thought I'd share. I talked with Cannondale today and they are planning a November delivery date to dealers. That should put it in the hands of the magazines fairly soon. I'm hoping they get their hands on it in time to shoot it out with the Raptor, DS, and 400ex. With Kawasaki apparently not ready to make an announcement the Cannondale is the only thing keeping me out of my Yamaha dealer with a wad of sweaty hundreds in my hand.

I saw the MX400 at the dealership yesterday. It was very impressive.

Looking at one of this months ATV magazines on the shelf the other day, It led me to believe that Kawi is indeed about ready to realease the KXF250?

I am not sure about this, but its on teh cover that they are "testing the new kawasaki KXF250" and if its not at least in production or going to be, they all tested it a year ago, so it woudlnt be new? I assume its gonna happen.

Reliability? Aftermarket Parts? Dealerships? Made in USA? First year model? I know from experience going with a new ATV manufacturer has it's downsides.

I own a 400ex but i am pulling for Cannondale to come through with a great quad, the thing looks great. I spent an hour on the web site reading all about it. With the weight they are claiming and the hp they claim, wow! This thing could suprise the rice burners. I hope it kicks and is more reliable than my old chevy ever was.

Rhino, No deal. The splash on the cover is meant to sell magazines but its merely a test of the latest revision of Team Green's racer built by Doug Roll. No production. The best we can hope for from Kawasaki seems to be a new sport four stroke after new year's.

DAMN!!!!

I was soooo lookin forward to a 2001 two-stroke racer!

I guess that I will stick with the 'ol 86 R for now then.
I am still dreaming of a 2002 Honda counterbalanced CR250 motor in a 400ex frame with reverse, EFI and 12 inches of wheel travel on all sides.
But I think thats a dream that will NEVER come true.

If they do not have any troubles with the bikes, the quad might be out in about 4 months. Which is about Nov., but if they have to do some warrinty work on the bikes look for the date to be pushed back. I have heard some good things about it from someone who had a chace to ride one in a test. I hope that it works good, not like the problems that the bike has had in develement and delayed release dates. It would be a tuf call to buy a new quad from a new manufactor. Hope that they have done there homework and not have the problems that I have heard about with the DS650.
