Owned both. Blaster is more fun, but not as durable as the 250. The 2-stroke engine will need more attention than a 4-stroke (you'll need to do a top end and crank bearing now and then). Lots of mods available. 2-stroke power band is a little harder to manage when trail riding. A little lighter than the EX.

The EX is a solid, trouble free machine and a superb trail bike. Not as much fun to ride as the Blaster, but still a great bike. A pipe will perk it up some. Has shaft drive, which is good if you are in the mud or water a lot. Pretty good ground clearance, if you are going to do some rocky trails.

These are both entry level sport machines. If you are getting a bike to learn on, and then move on to something else in a few years, get the Blaster. If you want a bike that will give you years and years of trouble free riding, get the EX.

yea look you'll see hundreds

yamaha: cheaper, faster, smaller (engine and size),manual clutch,2 stroke, not as well made as honda

Honda:expensive,worth every penny,built like a tank,slower,229cc,auto clutch,4 stroke,

If you plan to do a little racing get the blaster in less you want to add a manual clutch to the 250!
