subject pretty much sums it up, I am looking for new rear tires for the rear of my scrambler that hook up well and offer good straight line performance and slide easily. I will be getting 20x11x8 on douglas black label rims. I primarily ride fire roads and trails.

the maxxis seems to be the meanest looking.
20x11x8 4ply.

the klaw has the heighest ply rating.
20x11x8 6ply.

and the domiator is just a good priced tire that seems very comparible to a holeshot.
20x11x8 4ply.

whihc would you choose and why.

 

I don't know what to tell ya! The higher the ply sthe stronger and harder the tire but they weigh alot more that means they will be harder and heavier to spin that will rob power. This may be something to think about. I would go with a 4 ply with the best tread you could find!

 

To tell you may opinion, the kenda tires suck. Now on the other hand the Maxxis are very good performing long lasting tires. That would be my choice. To me the Kendas are a littler better than stock though.

 

How you thought of the ITP Holeshot?

 

I like the Kenda Klaws myself, I has a set on the Scrambler....I wish I had a set on my Pred.

 

I had that question awhile back klaws or razr's. I called 1-800 whoever and they sold razr's and not klaws. I was going to ask them and see what they thought. The fact they had one and not the other made it easy. I have Razr2's on a 440ex. i like them alot. Klaws may be better but I'll not know untill the razr's are smoked.

I think you would be happy with either tire.

 

Maxxis Razrs

 

dominators are only good to sell to someone who does not know any better, they are JUNK! Klaws I have no experience with, my buds pred came with razrs and he thought they were o.k. I run holeshot xcs on my ds and really like them, holeshot xcr also seem good, my next set will be holeshot hd, xc or rzr 2, don't know yet.

 

I've seen Maxxis Razrs and Razr 2s on EX's and I run Klaws on my Raptor, personally I wouldn't ever buy Maxxis.
Even taking price into consideration, Maxxis is robbing people blind. :/

 

I think they are all really close myself;I have KENDA KLAWS on my YFZ and ITP HOLESHOT XCR's on my Z-400.There can be differences in actual sizes from one company to the next and weight differences also......
