trx450r handlebars suck
the stock bars bend is very irritating as it must be swept back too much. I keep getting knarly sores only on the very outside of the palms, I have tried different gloves and it does not help. I rode my old 400ex for years and never had this problem, although I crashed the first day on that one and replaced the bars with renthal. what are the bars you guys are using. I noticed renthal has many options, and do not want to get another bogus bend like the stock. Also what do you do with the key and the idiot light with new bars? can you still keep them on??

Look at the Honda forum. There are a couple of threads running right now on this subject. If the bars are "swept back to much", just tilt them a little forward and that should help until you find something from the aftermarket.
I found the stock bars to be to TALL for my taste. The stock position is ok for the track or jumping, but a little high for cross-country work. I went with TAG Metals T2 bulge bars. The kit comes with a nice mount and a plate to mount the key and temperature light. The bar ends up about 1" lower than stock, and that puts more rider weight forward for better steering and less tendency to wheelie when you don't want to.
