Hey guys,I just got a yamaha blaster.Too cheap to pass up so I got it.It needs some work, but that's no big deal.I just have the quad and no engine yet.Should get the engine next week.It definitely needs a top end rebuild. He said the crank was bad,but don't know that for sure yet.I plan to rebuild it,get the cylinder ported, and an aftermarket pipe.I'm thinking either a toomey or cpi pipe.I want to also get new tires and aluminum wheels.I think my wife might start racing/riding it.Don't want her racing the banshee, but the blaster will be alot better for her to learn how to use a clutch. What do you think?Any suggestions?

You'll definitely will want to see the after pictures, because the before pictures.Well let's just say it needs some work.Really though, the frame doesn't need painting.Plastic is in fair condition. So it's not bad. It's a '93 model I think.White plastic with a green seat.My wife is talking about racing it when I get done with it.I'll have the banshee. She'll have the blaster.A family that races together, stays together.LOL!

I just lost my camera at the Petti Jean car show so I can't show you pictures of the blaster I built for my GF... I will take more and post them. Most don't even know what it is...

I'd appreciate that wildcat.StrongtyerYFZ,I was hoping to get a responce from ya.I know I'm going to rebuild the topend and get it ported. Also plan on a bigger carb.A JTM 5 in. extension for the swingarm will be ordered when I get the money. It's needing alot of little things.Nuts and bolts missing.Bike cleaned up pretty good today.Very dirty.Funny how much a little work can improve a quads looks.Do you guys know who I should get to port it?Any other suggestions?

i know what you mean about how a little work can improve a quads looks. i clean up my blaster every so often and try and get all the dirt/ cow crap/ whatever off of it and it looks a lot nicer afterwards. cant wait to see pics of the finished product RDZ. ask banshee392 about porting and what not. he will be happy to tell ya. hollywood dirt may be good. i know they build good blaster engines. may be expensive tho. there is also another person who has a built/ building a MX blaster that is way nice but i cant think of his SN right off the top of my head. maybe someone else will know. i think his real name is Shane.... i dont know...
