I talked to F.A.S.T. racing. He said he could get a blaster to beat stock banshees. To me that's impressive considering the blaster is only 200c.c.Sure it won't beat my banshee, but I don't expect it to.Why would I?I want a bike I don't have to worry about my wife riding.Sure all of them can be dangerous, but I think the banshee is too much for her right now.
I'm probably going back to George Ray's drag strip this sunday.I think it's going to be a hot day.I think around 95 degress. To me,that's hot.Still want to see if I can get some better times.Low 8's at least.I'll also be taking my wifes Polaris. At the newport dragstrip it run a 11.09.Oh,scary fast!It was bone stock then.It has a few mods. now so maybe it's a little faster.
The reason I said probably going to george ray's is because it's between george's and newport.Newport is alot more quad friendly. They will even make a class for ya if enough bikes show up.It's bracket racing so the fastest bike doesn't do the winning all the time.Actually the automatics most likely will have the advantage.I prefer newport, but george's is like 10 minutes from my house.I'll let you know where we go.Anyone interested?

Well the blaster I have has been ported a bit, pipe, and bigger carb so it runs pretty good. It has MUCH room for improvement but it is for my GF and I want her to be comfortable on it before it gets any faster...

Hey RDZ, I pulled a few of my timeslips from last may when I ran my 350 on gas. I ran it with a 16-41 gear ratio and 20' American racer tires. I had a 1.58 60ft time, 4.76 in 330ft, and a 7.60 at 85.90 in 660ft. That was my best with a few coming in a little slower than that. That was also manually shifting. Keep working on it, you'll get going much faster. The 60ft time means everything and will greatly reduce your times. Every .01 will almost be .02 at the end of the track. Bubba

I did go to the dragstrip. It run pretty good.Only made two passes. The best was an 8.56.It was spinning at least to 1/2 track.Maybe even farther.Smoked a mustang in the process. The second pass,I slipped the clutch and it hooked up that time. When I was shifting to third(this might sound crazy)as I opened my hand to pull the clutch lever I couldn't reach it.The bike was pulling very hard.So I let out of it about 1/2 track for a moment. It still run a 8.64.I'd say that's pretty good.A dodge magnum was the victim that time.I broke off a wheel from my wheelie bar on the second pass. Not bent it a little.Broke it off.So I called it a day.I think it can go extremely low 8's to high 7's.

We'll I got the engine last wednesday.Man does it need work. The piston and cylinder are in bad shape.Definitely need boring and a new piston. Here's where it get's really bad.The crank is locked up.The rod will move, but the crank won't.It looks like someone has had the top end off of the engine and left it outside.I'll most likely get a new crank and rod as well as a new piston. It will be ported also. The head will receive work too. This will be the first engine I've been in that splits side to side. The banshee split top to bottom.Any advice?Don't want to split it and parts go every where.
