yea you can just buy the throttle for but unless you have extra cable you will need to buy mor because the cable for a thumb throttle is to short for a twisty

I don't really like quads w/twist throttle. I put one on my old Blaster and like the others have said I got into an accident because of it. long story short I hit a tree because of it. I have rode dirt bikes with twist throttle and don't mind but on quads I like thumb thorttle. They put thumb throttles on em for a reason.

love my twist throttle would'nt go back to the thumb if I was paid to. to many hand cramps holding the thing
but it all depends on what you like and are confortable with

 

ive never been a big fan of thumb throttles. (im a major street bike junkie) i bought my vortex twist throttle set up from desi cycles here in ny. i looked at some otrhers like the jc whitney 1 but they looked like garbage and were all plastic. mines made by vortex is mostly aluminum i had 1 on my last ds and im putting 1 on my new ds today. if desi can help ya he's at 1845 651 7443) he hates twist throttles on atv's and gave me a 10 minute lecture on why i should stay with the thumb throttle lol
