is the connector pipe for a new slip-on just a connector to the old headers, or is like new headers?

 

Most ,I think come with a mid-pipe.It should come with your slip on muffler.So the answer would be yes.Some come with, some don't.Your header is sold seperately, unless you buy a full system

 

sorry i kinda wrote it wrong, what i ment to say was, is the connector pipe/ mid pipe just straight tubing, or is it somthing speacal.
i was wonderin if i go get a pipe and not the mid pipe cuz it cost like 60-80 bucks for a little short peice, if i could just make one myself to fit it?
