Quadzillas?how are they?
I owned one back when they were new. 89' The kickback will bruise your foot if it kicks so wear boots. The stock shocks are antique by todays standards. It will bottom out off a small jump. great power. I cant believe people are still gettin' so mutch money for em'. sold mine in 91' for 1900 bucks. Check frame and rear swingarm axle adj. bolts.

I love my Quadzilla. Yeah if you pay under 2000 your not nearly as likely to get somthing reliable. They do need constant attention if you want them to keep running. Usually they just need constant ajustment and tightening. Bolts rattle loose like you wouldnt belive. A container of blue locktight, wrenches, and a good eye for stuff out of place is definatly needed. Everything from chain tentioner bolts to header bolts to engine mounts to the swingarm bolt. Ive had them all vibrate loose on me
My frame is a little tweaked so it can get squirly off jumps but I dont think that applys to all of them. I dont find the suspention that bad but I dont jump very high and Im 6 foot 180 lbs. Definatly will want to wear boots for the kick Ive put holes in more then one pair of sneakers. Even in stock form they are quite powerful. Mine is basically stock other then a DG exaust and an open airbox with a twinarm foam filter and bored .020 over which isnt much at all. If the engine is put together right and jetted properly it shouldnt need that much work. I put mine away for the winter and didnt drain the gas or fog it. I changed the plug in the spring and it started 6th kick after sitting from febuary to june in the garage.
Mine is a rocket and its a blast to run. Just expect to spend an hour of wrenching between each day you ride it. Just little things that need ajustment and such. Probably dont have as much of this if somebody has done a frame off restore on the one you buy. You already have to mix gas so you know the cost of that. It loves to suck down gas. If I ride all day thats easily 15 bucks in the tank for premium (93) and oil. I premix at 36:1 with no problems for the last year or two. I got mine off ebay and came to find the frame was bent. Look for spot welds and get a picutre from directly head on to look for bent frames. its a common problem with them. Whenever you buy somthing used expect somthing to be wrong with them unless you pay top dollar. They are old machines and Even if they look good youll find little things that need to be done. I have had to do countless little things to mine.
