yea 300ex's are terds not sayin mines a rocket or anything but there slow... the blaster would beat it pretty good and blasters can be made very fast.

 

The blaster would be like right beside it if it was stock to stock n e way.The modded blaster would eat it up.

 

would a 300 Ex with a pipe and oversize piston compete with a blaster with the pipe kit, filter and jets?

 

i've had a blaster with all the mods you listed. I got a 300ex right after that, so I never raced them. But it seemed about the same speed wise. I liked the ex better though cause it was more comfortable and seemed it had a bit more power.

 

With the proper mods the blaster would eat it alive vs a stock 300

I have a modded blaster. I race my buddy on his 300ex all the time. His is faster than mine. I've raced him on several occasions and he is always faster. His is bone stock to the original filter. My jet in my carb might be too rich though.
